Pouch & Bag Fill (Preformed - Liq)
Pouch and Bag Filling Machines for Liquids into Pre-Formed Sustainable Packaging
Whether you need a semi-automatic through the spout benchtop pouch filler, or more automation and features with a pouch filler and capper on a cart, a higher production fully automated filling and capping line, or bag in box filling system, we are certain to have the right solution to meet your needs.
What is meant by "Preformed" and what is the difference between a Pouch, a Bag and a Sachet? Pre-formed means the machine is not making the container like an FFS machine (Form Fill & Seal). Sachets are typically small, flat, single-use, three or four-side-sealed packets usually made of foil or plastic for items like samples or condiments. Pouches are larger, more versatile containers that often feature gussets to stand upright, can hold multiple servings/applications, and can be resealed. The resealing can be by zipper or by a threaded cap, and in the case of certain standup pouches and bags can be a spout that self-closes after use. Zipper is typically for dry products and spouts, self close or with caps for liquids. The machine that fills pouches with zippers or spouted pouches may be similar in many ways, but are designed and built very different when it comes to the components for closing, capping, and sealing. Then there are differences in machines that fill pre-spouted pouches compared to machines that can install the spout into a pre-formed pouch. Additionally, machines that fill pre-spouted pouches or bags when the fill amount exceeds one or two liters differs tremendously from a machine designed to fill amounts that are less than 1.5 liters.
Pouch and Bag Filling Machines for Liquids into Pre-formed Bags and Pouches
Our filling and packaging equipment for dry products into your pre-formed sustainable Bags and Pouches are designed for speed, precision, and efficiency across a wide range of products and containers.
Key differences:
Sachets are small, flat, typically single-use packets used for various liquids products typically less than 100ml. Pouches are larger, flexible containers, often with gussets or re-sealable zips for multi-use packaging. Bags are general, often larger, flexible containers (like gusseted or stand-up bags) designed to hold larger quantities. Bags with larger fills, typically over 2-liters generally lay fat or are put into a box aka Bag in Box
Size and Volume:
Sachets are small and flat (single-dose) and typically less than 100ml, while pouches are generally larger up to 2 liters, capable of holding bulkier, multi-use products, and bags generally are for 2-liters up to 25-liters.
Usage:
Sachets are almost always single-use/disposable. Pouches and bags are frequently used for multiple servings or applications.
Structure:
Sachets are 2-dimensional (flat). Pouches can be 3-dimensional featuring gussets to stand up on shelves, while bags can lay flat or go into a box.
Resealability:
Pouches often feature zippers, spouts, or tears for convenience, while sachets are designed for one-time, tear-open use. Bags typically have a screw cap or self-closing spout
